If you’re looking for groomed cruisers, expert shoots and adventurous backcountry bowls, head straight to Aspen Highlands. You won’t battle crowds on this big mountain that offers a wide variety of runs. Instead you’ll find magnificent panoramic views of the Maroon Bells at this local favorite.

Buttermilk Stats

Known as one of the best beginner ski resorts in the world and certainly the best in Aspen, Buttermilk offers wide-open terrain perfect for practicing your turns. Also home to the X Games for 9 years in a row, you’ll find a 22-foot super piper at Buttermilk that won’t disappoint.
